About

The first story I ever wrote was titled “The Day I Forgot My Brain,” and it was co-authored at a sleepover with my best friend and neighbor. That story was the start of a thirty-year journey to realizing that writing is what I’ve always meant to do.

For as long as I can remember, books have filled my heart and monopolized the free space in my head. In elementary school, I devoured mysteries. Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden were my formative book besties. As a teenager, I imagined opening a portal to the world where my favorite book series was set and falling in love with one of the supporting characters so that Alanna and I could be best friends and go on double dates. About that time I started creating my own stories and feeding them daily with daydreams and wistful thinking.

Eventually, I began writing those stories down, which brings us here. In my books, I try to give my readers a world to which they want to open a portal and characters they want to befriend. I hope you’ll find that I’ve succeeded.

While books are my first passion, you can also find me working in the garden, dancing in the kitchen, going on wanders with my children, or enjoying a perfect cup of tea.
